The Otago Peninsula Photo Contest offers residents and visitors the opportunity to capture the beauty of the Otago Peninsula’s unique wildlife, scenery and people.

Entries are open to everyone. Photos can be taken on any sort of camera - from smartphones to professional DSLR cameras. The contest runs from until 30 September 2016 with winners announced at the Conservation Awards in November 2016.

Categories are defined by five locations including; the area around Glenfalloch Garden, the viewing platform at Pukekura/Taiaroa Head, Pilots Beach Reserve, the Royal Albatross Centre Observatory and all of the Otago Peninsula.

Category winners will be selected by online voting. Pictures can be posted to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #PeninsulaPix. A supreme winner will be selected from the winners of each section, judged by a locally renowned photographer.

The Otago Peninsula Photo Contest is hosted by the Royal Albatross Centre as part of the Otago Peninsula Trust. Partners include Blue Penguins Pukekura, Glenfalloch Gardens, Monarch Wildlife Cruises and the Department of Conservation.
